How do filmmakers tell a story in less than five minutes?
Not just trailers, music videos, or experimental projects, but honest-to-goodness beginning-middle-end stories?
The Short Short Story Film Festival celebrates brevity in filmmaking, featuring films from across the globe, lovingly harvested by the folks here at MergingArts Productions.
The festival includes two distinct sets of short films.
The first, the Heartstrings Program, includes films of a sentimental nature - from bittersweet comedies to documentaries about struggle to love stories to unexpected tragedies.
The second program, the Headtrip Program, presents more off-center films - black comedies, animated horror, and many which defy categorization.
The festival includes receptions in addition to the screenings. See the schedules below for details.
Festival awards include both jury-awarded prizes and audience favorites.
